National Crime Information Center (NCIC) /
Originating Agency Identifier (ORI) Numbers
Each Georgia court has been assigned a unique NCIC / ORI number by the Georgia
Bureau of Investigation which is used to identify a specific court location.
The NCIC number is used by DDS to identify your court, post convictions to
driver records correctly, and reimburse courts for convictions filed. A valid
NCIC / ORI number contains a total of nine (9) alphanumeric characters,
begins with "GA", and ends with "J". If
your NCIC / ORI number does not follow this pattern, you must contact the GBI
immediately and obtain a valid number. Contact information is as follows:

Each court must provide a valid court NCIC / ORI number on each conviction filed
to DDS. This includes the following documents:
-
DPS-32 Georgia Uniform Traffic Citation, Summons and Accusation
-
DPS-32C
-
DS-1242
Please provide the NCIC / ORI number on each document as follows:
-
For the DPS-32 – On the backside in the "Disposition and Sentence"
section in the "Court" field, please indicate the court name and
the court NCIC / ORI number.
-
For the DPS-32C – In the field "Court No.", please provide
the court NCIC / ORI number instead of the 3-digit court code as these are no
longer used by DDS. This form is being revised by DDS and the new form will
provide a field specifically for the court NCIC / ORI.
-
For the DS-1242 - In the field "Court No.", please provide the
court NCIC / ORI number instead of the 3-digit court code as these are no
