Welcome. You are enrolled in the Georgia Motorcycle Safety Program Rider Education
and Training Course for the dates and times specified above.
Please read
this letter completely.
Plan to arrive at

at least fifteen minutes early. We recommend you bring lunch/dinner and beverages as needed.
You must bring:
- Picture identification (driver license, student ID, employment ID, state ID, military ID, etc.).
- A pen or pencil.
Attendance / Lateness
- You must attend all sessions:
- 5-hour (approx.) self-paced eCourse:
- Students will receive an email containing the course access URL two (2) weeks prior to the course start-date
- Students must show the course completion certificate to RiderCoaches prior to attempting the end-of-course knowledge exam
- 11 (approx.) hours of on-motorcycle training and Motorcycle Skill Test
- Failure to attend any portion of a course session results in being dropped from the course. No Refunds.
- There are no make-up classes, nor is there time to review missed material.
- Classes start promptly, it is your responsibility to be on time. Being late to the start of any portion of the course, may result in being dropped from the course. No Refunds.
- Due to variables beyond our control, such as weather, some course times may need to be extended. Allow additional time in your course schedule in case a session runs later than scheduled.
- Class hours may be extended or adjusted during any session. We ask that you do not commit to any other appointments on the days or evenings of your scheduled classes
| You will not be permitted to participate in the course unless you wear: |
| • Long-sleeve shirt or jacket |
| • Long pants (heavy denim or riding pants recommended; no holes and not torn) |
| • Over-the-ankle boots (sturdy, not canvas) |
| • Eye protection (full-face helmet with visor provided or bring your own) |
| • Full-finger gloves (bring your own) |
| • Full-face or ¾-face helmet (full-face provided or bring your own) |
| • Bandana (no offensive verbiage or images) |
| • We suggest you bring water, snacks, sunscreen |
GMSP provides:
- Helmet (for Basic Course)
- Face shield (for Basic Course)
- Motorcycle (for Basic Course)
If you do not own a DOT approved helmet with eye protection, we can provide one. If you bring your personal helmet or eye protection, it will be subject to a safety check.
Please come prepared! This class is both mentally and physically demanding. We rarely cancel a course due to inclement weather. We ride in most types of weather. Please dress appropriately. Course hours may be extended due to unforseen events. Please plan accordingly. To get started right now, access the Rider Handbook at www.msf-usa.org. Click on Library, then under Materials click on Basic RiderCourse Handbook.
Course fees are not refundable and students must attend all sessions (see Attendance/Lateness).
IF YOU ARE
UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE: A parent or legal guardian MUST
accompany their minor student to the first class meeting to sign the waiver.
